Many children are orphaned, left alone, or cared for by their ageing grandparents and need support.
PROTECT began supporting two such families in 2011.
One family consisting of six children was totally destitute. Over the years we assisted in providing them with a comfortable home and sending the children to school. After completing primary school one girl trained as a dressmaker and the others succeeded in getting employment locally.
An orphan boy is supported in residential primary school while his elderly and ailing grandmother is being cared for by her daughter, supported by PROTECT.
